  1. I love slice of life moments in superhero comics, and this is the main reason why I enjoyed Blue Beetle so much: it didn’t focus only on his fights with this villain or that, but also on his school life, his best friend Paco, the girl Jaime had a crush on, Brenda… also, the moments he shared with these characters were not useless: on the contrary, those relationships deeply influenced his career as a superhero, because one of his main villains was Brenda’s aunt, and Paco became a villain too after some years… it’s so sad that a series that landed right in my comic reading sweet spot is gone for good.
But DC is still publishing a lot of fantastic series, from Animal Man to Swamp Thing, from Team 7 to Batman: Arkham Unhinged. Luckily there will always be a good comic book to read, no matter how many great series got discarded.

    • I agree about Blue Beetle, I was collecting it before the new 52 and thought I’d give it a chance again. Wasn’t as good as before i don’t think but still entertaining, kind of what Superman used to be with the stories involving the cast of family characters… i don’t need grim & gritty in my comics.. unless its batman…

  2. thanks for visiting!
